Take A Child Christmas Shopping

Started in 1995, the Take A Child Christmas Shopping program provides a holiday benefit to underprivileged Lansing area youth. A list of students are referred from schools and assigned to a BMIGL volunteer. Volunteers are given instructions and then take the young men shopping for Christmas gifts for their family. The teams of shoppers then return to J.W. Sexton High School to wrap the gifts together, participate in open gym activities, and enjoy a pizza party. The event is made possible thanks to many personal and organizational donations. A very special THANK YOU to Meijer for their support!
