Black College Tour
Each year BMIGL sponsors some students on a tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Lansing Area prospective college students and chaperones board a charter bus and head out for a week of campus visits. The tours include visits to admissions offices at the various schools and culminates with attendance of a football game at the end of the trip.
The Fall 2009 Black College Tour left Lansing's Gardner Middle School on Nov. 11. The Tour itineary inlcuded Virginia State University, Hampton University, Norfolk State University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Bowie State University, Coppin State University, Morgan State University, South Carolina State University, and Howard University (Football game).
